The Lil’ Tail Grab is a smaller handlebar bag with a rando-style opening (opens toward rider), making access to its 3L capacity quick and comfortable. An additional front slip stretch pocket is perfect for carrying sunscreen, gloves and snacks.
The lid closes using a shock (stretchy) cord that's captured on the back or the stem, usually around the stem bolts (see photos). Sometimes stems don't have bolts on the back, so a large zip tie head or Voile Nano strap wrapped around the stem column (see photos) can also work to capture the shock cord.
FWIW It’s the same size as the Bernie Bar Bag but the two have different styled opening/closure. Bernie’s flap opens away from the rider as opposed to the Tail Grab which opens toward the rider. The Bernie wouldn’t cover up the tops of the handlebars by the stem clamp whereas the Tail Grab covers that area due to its flap design. So if having computers or lights in the middle of your handlebar is normal, know that the Tail Grab's flap covers the middle of the handlebars.
Tire clearance requirements: 6.5 - 7" minimum is required from the bottom of the handlebar clamp to the tire if using no foam spacers. Usually two pairs of foam spacers are needed to clear cable paths (usually a good idea), the bag will lower about 1/2" so 7" of minimum clearance is needed.
*The bag opening folds down on top of the stem and middle of the handlebar area, so lights or computers need to relocated if they are mounted there.
