Hi, I’m Jay, and I’ve been making cycle touring bags under Bags by Bird since 2018. Bike touring has been a lifelong obsession but I developed another passion as I began to experiment with altering and building cycling bags for long bike tours, fortunately this work has continued thanks to my awesome customers. 

 

In my little shop in Tucson, Arizona, I design, cut and sew all of BXB’s bags. I try to keep as much of the process made in-house, from stamping out foam spacers on a die press to smoothing out the ends of wooden dowels on a disc sander. My hands and attention are part of every step in manufacturing to give you the highest quality bag I can.
